shipboard ADCP data



Shipboard ADCP data were collected throughout the cruise with a
Teledyne RDI 150kHz and a 75 kHz Ocean Surveyor ADCP. The data
were collected with UHDAS (University of Hawaii Data Acquisition
System). They were initially processed onboard by Andree Ramsey, then
lateron by Frank Bahr from shore. Both used the CODAS (Common Ocean
Data Access System) software developed and maintained at UH
(Firing et el., 2012; https://currents.soest.hawaii.edu/docs/adcp_doc/) as well as
additional matlab routines. Lastly, barotropic tides derived from the
TPXO9 model version 5 with all available tidal constituents were removed
(Egbert et al., 2002; https://www.tpxo.net/home).


During the cruise, "section files" with SADCP data along a CTD
section were generated. At the end of the cruise, the full records
including transits were processed for both sonars. Both versions
of the data are presented below in matlab .mat files using Dan format.
